Signature Flights Soar for Charity
Thursday 18th April 2019
The team from Signature Flights have raised £1,920 for St. Vincent’s Hospice by completing a series of challenges and events for the local charity.
Having supported St. Vincent’s for several years, the team organised a raffle for a signed football from both Rangers and Celtic, an auction and even scaled Ben Lomond, with all proceeds going to the Hospice.
Erin McIlroy from Signature Flights, said: “For a long time now, we have been proud to support St. Vincent’s Hospice. A few of our team members have had first-hand experience with the amazing work they do on a daily basis, and it is a charity that is close to our hearts.
“It was great to come along and it is our pleasure to be able to support the Hospice and provide the money which was raised from our events. Culminating with Ben Lomond, I think we laughed the whole way up and back. There were quite a few weather changes (to say the least) but as a team we made it! We are definitely taking part in the Zip slide in September, but there will be many, many more to come.”
Signature Flights is the world’s largest network of Fixed Base Operations (FBOs) with over 200 locations providing consistent, exceptional service. They provide essential support services for business and private aviation, including refuelling, hangarage, maintenance, repair and overhaul.
Fundraising Manager for St. Vincent’s Hospice, Carol-Anne Lomond, said: “We are thrilled to have such fantastic support from Signature Flights, and owe them a massive debt of thanks for all the hard work they have put in. To not only organise fundraising events, and go to the effort of getting such amazing prizes both for the raffle and auction, but to follow that up by climbing Ben Lomond is overwhelming.
“Donations like this are vital and make such a difference to the lives of people in our community who need it most. Thank you!”
