Parliament Praises Lochwinnoch Arts Festival
Wednesday 14th November 2018
The Lochwinnoch Arts Festival has been praised in the Scottish Parliament for their amazing support of St. Vincent's Hospice, raising £1,792.78 for the local charity through their two week series of events earlier this year.
The Parliamentary Motion was raised by MSP Tom Arthur, who has been a prominent supporter of St. Vincent's, and recognised the incredible efforts of the community. The Festival took place in March 2018, dedicated to the memory of Anne Moore, a well known supporter of the arts scene and long term volunteer for the Hospice.
June Burgess from the Income Generation Team at St. Vincent's, accepted a framed copy of the Parliamentary Motion to be displayed in the Hospice in recognition of their hard work. She added: "The support we receive from the Lochwinnoch Community is second to none, and we cannot thank them enough for all their hard work, and would like to thank Tom Arthur and all of the MSPs who supported this motion.
"We are a local charity for local people and families affected by life limiting conditions, and it is humbling to see a community get behind us in such a meaningful way, helping make everything we do possible."
